Here you can download the free Universal Snag List developed by John Boyle, which supplements the Irish Home Buyer's Guide to Snagging.

Using the list is simple!

1. Use the guidelines in The Irish Home Buyer's Guide to Snagging to examine your property room by room.
   
2. Write any snags you find in a notepad.
   
3. Download the Universal Snag List and type up the snags that you have recorded in Microsoft Word.
   
4. Finally, submit your completed snag list to your builder, developer, and/or solicitor by hand, by post, by email, or by fax.

When the builder/developer indicates to you that the snags have been fixed, arrange to examine the property again and tick the 'completed' box for those snags that have been fixed to your satisfaction. Advise your builder, developer, and/or solicitor of any snags that remain.
